Recycling Etiquette in Dominican Republic

Recycling is not yet a strong everyday norm in most of the Dominican Republic, so travelers should not expect the kind of separate sorting bins or curbside collection common in parts of Europe or North America. In larger cities and tourist areas you may see some private recycling efforts, but the practical habit is still to dispose of waste in the regular trash unless a hotel, mall, or municipality clearly provides labeled bins.
