Safety Etiquette in Denmark

Denmark is generally very safe, so travelers usually just use normal city caution: keep an eye on bikes, lock up valuables, and be especially careful in crowded stations or nightlife areas where petty theft can happen. Locals tend to trust public spaces and leave strollers or bags briefly unattended more than in many countries, but you should still follow posted rules and common-sense precautions, especially near water, in winter ice, and on cycling paths.
