Coffee & Tea Etiquette in Denmark

Coffee is the default hot drink in Denmark, and it is normal to offer it to guests at home, at work, and during casual visits, often with a small pastry or cake. Tea is available too, but it is usually the quieter alternative rather than the social centerpiece, and many Danes will happily switch to coffee unless they specifically prefer tea.
