Drinking Water Etiquette in Croatia

Tap water is generally safe to drink throughout Croatia, and locals commonly drink it straight from the faucet or order it in restaurants without hesitation. In coastal and island areas, bottled water is still sometimes preferred for taste, but asking for tap water is normal and not considered impolite.
