Clothing Etiquette in Croatia

Croatians generally dress neatly and conservatively in everyday public settings, so travelers will fit in best with clean, well-kept casual clothes rather than beachwear, gym wear, or overly revealing outfits in towns, restaurants, and churches. On the coast and at resorts, swimwear is fine on the beach but should be covered up when walking through town, and in more formal settings people often dress up a bit more than visitors might expect.
