Alcohol Etiquette in Bolivia

Alcohol is widely accepted in social settings in Bolivia, but public drunkenness is frowned on and can draw disapproval, especially in family or community gatherings. In cities and at festivals people may drink beer, singani, or chicha together, while in more traditional or religious contexts it is polite to wait for the host to initiate toasts and to drink in moderation.
