Taboos Etiquette in Bahrain

Public criticism of the ruling family, religion, and conservative social behavior is best avoided, and open displays of affection or very revealing dress can draw disapproval in public places. During Ramadan, do not eat, drink, or smoke in public during daylight hours, and be especially discreet around mosques and in traditional neighborhoods.
