Recycling is not yet a strong everyday norm in Venezuela, so travelers should not expect the kind of careful household sorting or curbside separation common in some other countries. In cities, waste is often mixed and collection can be irregular, though some neighborhoods, businesses, and informal recyclers do separate bottles, cardboard, and scrap metal when there is a clear resale value.
