Toilets Etiquette in Tunisia

In Tunisia, many public and older private toilets are squat-style, so it is normal to carry your own toilet paper or tissues and not assume they will be provided. In homes, cafés, and some hotels you may find Western-style toilets, but in rural areas and roadside stops the squat toilet remains common and a small amount of change for paid facilities can be useful.
