Tipping Etiquette in Slovakia

Tipping is customary in Slovakia but usually modest: in cafés and casual restaurants people often round up the bill or leave about 5–10% for good service, while in taxis and small services rounding to the nearest euro is common. In nicer restaurants, it is normal to hand the tip directly to the server or say the total amount you want to pay, since leaving exact change on the table can be less common than in some other countries.
