Bargaining Etiquette in Slovakia

Bargaining is generally not expected in Slovakia in regular shops, supermarkets, taxis with meters, or restaurants, where prices are usually fixed and haggling can feel out of place. You may have a little room to negotiate at flea markets, with street vendors, or when buying antiques and secondhand goods, but even there it is usually done politely and modestly rather than as an aggressive back-and-forth.
