Tipping Etiquette in Romania

Tipping is appreciated in Romania but usually modest: rounding up the bill or leaving about 5–10% in restaurants, cafés, and for taxi drivers is common if service was good. In many places you may need to hand the cash directly or say the amount you want charged, and in smaller towns or casual spots people may simply leave a few extra lei rather than calculate a strict percentage.
