Tipping is appreciated in the Philippines but usually modest rather than obligatory, with small amounts or rounding up the bill common in restaurants, hotels, and for drivers if service is good. Many places already add a service charge, and in more casual settings people may simply leave a few pesos or nothing at all unless the service was especially attentive.
