Toilets Etiquette in Papua New Guinea

Carry small cash or tissues and do not assume public toilets will have toilet paper, soap, or reliable water, especially outside major hotels and airports. In many places people use squat toilets or simple pit latrines, and in villages it is normal to ask where the toilet is before entering a home or guest area rather than expecting a clearly marked bathroom.
