Tipping is not expected in Papua New Guinea, and in most hotels, restaurants, and taxis the bill is simply paid as quoted. If you want to show appreciation, a small extra amount or a round-up is usually accepted, but in many places friendly thanks or a modest gift is more typical than a formal tip.
