Tipping Etiquette in Panama

Tipping in Panama is modest and usually optional: in restaurants a 10% service charge is often already included, so you only add a little extra for especially good service or when no charge appears. In taxis, bars, and casual services, rounding up or leaving small change is common rather than giving large tips, and in more upscale hotels or guided tours a small gratuity is appreciated.
