Smoking Etiquette in Pakistan

Smoking is generally tolerated in Pakistan in outdoor public spaces, cafés, and many male social settings, but you should avoid lighting up in government buildings, public transport, hospitals, and other clearly posted no-smoking areas. In more conservative or family settings, especially around women and elders, it is polite to ask first and step away rather than smoke openly, and many people will expect you to be discreet even where it is not formally banned.
