Recycling Etiquette in Pakistan

Recycling is not yet a strong everyday habit in most of Pakistan, so travelers should not expect the kind of widespread sorting of paper, plastic, glass, and food waste that is common in many Western cities. In larger cities you may see informal waste pickers and scrap dealers recovering bottles, cardboard, and metal for resale, while households and businesses that do separate waste usually do so on their own initiative rather than because of a strict public system.
