Alcohol is generally accepted in social settings, but you should drink moderately and avoid loud or rowdy behavior, especially in villages and around elders. In some communities, local custom and church influence make public drunkenness frowned on, and on certain islands or at community events alcohol may be restricted or simply not offered.
