Tipping Etiquette in Malaysia

Tipping is not expected in Malaysia, and in many restaurants, hotels, and taxis the bill already includes a service charge or the fare is treated as final. If service is especially good, rounding up or leaving a small extra amount is appreciated but not required, and locals usually do not treat it as an obligation.
