mosques, remove your shoes before entering, and avoid eating, drinking, or smoking in public during
Ramadan daylight hours out of respect for those fasting. Non-Muslim visitors are welcome at many religious sites, but you should be especially quiet and conservative in places like a
surau or mosque, and women may be asked to cover their hair.
