Recycling Etiquette in Libya

Recycling is not yet a strong everyday habit in Libya, so travelers should not expect the separate collection systems common in many European cities and should be prepared to sort waste only if a hotel, mall, or private business provides bins. In practice, most household waste is mixed together, and any recycling that does happen is usually informal or limited to a few urban areas and private initiatives.
