PDA Etiquette in Latvia

Public displays of affection in Latvia are usually kept modest: holding hands or a quick kiss is fine, but prolonged hugging, kissing, or overtly passionate behavior in public can draw uncomfortable looks, especially from older people or in smaller towns. In Riga and among younger crowds the atmosphere is more relaxed, yet the general norm still favors restraint and privacy over open affection.
