Tipping Etiquette in Ireland

Tipping in Ireland is appreciated for good service but is usually modest: in restaurants, rounding up or leaving about 10% is common if a service charge has not already been added, while in pubs it is normal not to tip at the bar. Taxi drivers, hotel staff, and tour guides may receive a small extra amount for helpful service, but locals generally do not treat tipping as obligatory.
