Swearing Etiquette in Guinea

Public swearing is generally frowned upon in Guinea, especially in front of elders, strangers, or in formal settings, so it is best to keep language restrained and avoid loud profanity. In everyday conversation people may still use strong words among close friends, but respectful speech is the norm and in many communities indirect phrasing is preferred over blunt insults.
