Queueing is generally informal in Gambia, so expect people to form loose lines at bus stops, shops, and government offices rather than strict single-file queues. In busy places, it is normal to ask politely whose turn is next and to let elders, women with small children, or someone with an urgent need go ahead without much fuss.
