Public criticism of elders, officials, or local leaders is best avoided, and it is considered rude to argue loudly or show anger in front of others. In many communities, especially outside the cities, modest dress and restrained behavior are expected, and asking too directly about politics, ethnicity, or someone’s family can be seen as intrusive.
