Public life is still fairly traditional, so men are more often expected to take the lead in conversation, business, and formal decision-making, while women may be treated more deferentially in mixed settings. In cities this is changing, but in rural areas and among older generations you may still see stronger expectations around modest dress, women’s domestic roles, and men speaking first in family or community matters.
