Tipping is appreciated in the United Arab Emirates but usually modest, with many restaurants adding a service charge so a small extra amount or rounding up is enough. In hotels, taxis, and for porters or delivery staff, a few dirhams is common, while in upscale places people may leave around 5–10% if service was especially good.
