Physical touch between unrelated men and women is usually kept very limited in public, so avoid hugging, kissing, or casual touching unless the other person clearly initiates it. Among close friends of the same sex, handshakes and cheek kisses may happen, but public displays of affection are generally frowned on and can draw unwanted attention.
