Tipping Etiquette in Tonga

Tipping is not expected in Tonga, and in many everyday settings a small extra payment may even be politely declined because service charges are usually already included or wages are set without a tipping culture. If you want to show appreciation, a sincere thank-you, a small gift, or rounding up only when clearly welcomed is more typical than leaving a standard tip.
