Bargaining Etiquette in Sweden

Bargaining is generally not expected in Sweden, especially in shops, supermarkets, taxis, and restaurants, where prices are usually fixed and paying the stated amount is the norm. The main exceptions are flea markets, private secondhand sales, and some independent antique or craft stalls, where a polite, modest offer may be accepted but aggressive haggling is usually seen as awkward.
