Bargaining Etiquette in Palau

Bargaining is generally not expected in Palau’s shops, restaurants, and taxis, where prices are usually fixed and haggling can feel awkward or disrespectful. The main exceptions are informal market stalls, private boat trips, or souvenir sellers, where a polite, light negotiation may be possible, but it should stay friendly and modest rather than aggressive.
