Smoking Etiquette in Norway

Smoking is generally restricted to designated outdoor areas, and you should not smoke in indoor public places, restaurants, bars, or near entrances where people gather. Norwegians tend to be fairly strict about keeping smoke away from others, so if you need to smoke, step well aside and look for posted no-smoking signs or marked smoking spots.
