Bargaining Etiquette in Fiji

Bargaining is generally limited to informal markets and roadside stalls, where a polite, light negotiation may be accepted, but fixed-price shops, taxis, and most services are not places to haggle. In Fiji, a friendly approach matters more than pushing for the lowest price, and in many village or handicraft settings the first quoted price is already meant to be fair.
