Drinking Water Etiquette in Czechia (Czech Republic)

Tap water is generally safe to drink in Czechia, and in homes, hotels, and many restaurants it is normal to drink it without hesitation. In cafés and pubs, though, people usually order bottled water or other drinks instead, and if you ask for tap water in a restaurant it may be served but sometimes with a small charge or only on request.
