Drinking Water Etiquette in Chad
In Chad, it is normal to drink only sealed bottled water or water that has been boiled, filtered, or otherwise treated, especially in cities and while traveling. Tap water is generally avoided by visitors because supply and sanitation can be unreliable, and in rural areas people may rely on wells or other local sources that are not safe without treatment.
