Smoking Etiquette in Albania

Smoking is still fairly common in Albania, so you may see people smoking in cafés, bars, and some outdoor public spaces, but you should still look for no-smoking signs and avoid lighting up where it is clearly prohibited. In homes and small social gatherings, it is polite to ask before smoking, and many hosts will simply expect guests to smoke outside or near an open window.
