Alcohol is widely available and socially accepted in Albania, especially beer, wine, and
raki, but it is still best to drink moderately and avoid loud public drunkenness. In Muslim-majority areas and during family gatherings, some people abstain for religious or personal reasons, so it is polite to accept a refusal without pressing the issue.
