Bargaining is generally not expected in Malta’s shops, supermarkets, taxis, or restaurants, where prices are usually fixed and haggling can feel out of place. You may see some flexibility at flea markets, with private sellers, or when arranging services directly, but even there the approach is usually polite and modest rather than aggressive.
