Tipping Etiquette in Cabo Verde

Tipping is appreciated in Cabo Verde but usually modest: rounding up the bill or leaving about 5–10% in restaurants is common when service is good, while small cash tips for hotel staff, guides, and drivers are also welcome. In many places the service charge is not automatically included, but locals do not expect the heavy tipping seen in some tourist destinations, so a little extra is enough.
